Bio

David Kartchner is a PhD Student at Georgia Tech, advised by Cassie Mitchell.

He researches ways to create scalable natural language processing tools to enable users to extract and use scientific knowledge for discovery in drug development and biomedicine. He also builds systems to enable subject matter experts (e.g. clinicians) to quickly build machine learning systems without large amounts of labeled data.

He received his B.S. and M.S. in mathematics from Brigham Young University, where he was advised by Jeffrey Humpherys.
